How Tai Chi supported their recovery, mobility, and wellbeing
For the past 16 years, Kath and Jill have been learning Tai Chi with Master Xingbo at China Spirit UK — and they’re a perfect example of what steady practice can do over time.
Both ladies have experienced TIA (mini-strokes), and Tai Chi has played a big part in helping them move forward with confidence.
Through gentle, consistent training, they’ve noticed improvements in balance, mobility, flexibility, coordination, posture, and overall strength. Just as importantly, they often describe the calm focus of Tai Chi as a real boost for their mental wellbeing — helping them feel more grounded, positive, and resilient.
Their journey reminds us that Tai Chi isn’t just an exercise class; it’s a lifelong skill you build step by step, breath by breath, with a supportive community around you.
“Tai Chi helped me feel steady again — and more confident in myself,” says Kath.
“It’s gentle, but it’s powerful. I move better, and I leave class feeling calmer every time,” adds Jill.
