What we offer @ our Traditional Chinese Lion Dance workshop:

  • Cultural & geographical knowledge - History & tradition of the Chinese Lion—

  • Teamwork - Learn how to work the life-size puppets in pairs—

  • Enhancing music development - Learn the rhythm of the traditional Lion Dance drum

  • Enhancing physical development -  Learn special lion dance steps—

  • Bring the lions alive with their acquired skills- 

  • An opportunity for creative writing - Lion dance and kung fu performance by us—

  • Knowledge of a foreign language - Mandarin words and phrases taught throughout the workshop—

 

Up to 50 children can be accommodated per workshop, which lasts about 60 minutes.

Please note that these prices apply to local schools (Wirral/Liverpool). For non-local schools and other types of Lion Dance performances, please get in touch to discuss

First workshop £200, additional workshops are £100 each

An assembly lion dance and kung fu performance as an addition to workshops for 20 minutes for an additional £100.

Lion Dance's association with Kung Fu/Wushu


The lion dance has a close relationship with Kung Fu; the dancers are usually members of the local Kung Fu club or school.



They practice in  their club and some train hard to master the skill as one of the discipline of martial art. In general, it is seen that if a school has a capable troupe with many lions, it demonstrates the success of the school.
