Training Hard to Deliver Show-Stopping Lion Dance Performances Across the UK and Beyond

With Chinese New Year 2026 fast approaching

our China Spirit UK Lion Dance Team is already deep in training! The team meets regularly to rehearse choreography, drum rhythms, and acrobatics to ensure our performances are as exciting and authentic as possible.

“Being in the lion dance team is so much fun — we train hard, make great friends, and get to perform at amazing events,” says one of our performers.

Free Training & Performance Opportunities

Training is completely free and open to everyone — adults, teens, and young people who are curious about Chinese culture, music, martial arts, or performing arts are all welcome.Members who join the performance team can expect to get paid for each show, including Chinese New Year bookings.


Lion Dance Performances & Workshops

Our lion dance team is available for:

  • Corporate events

  • Weddings

  • Restaurants & venues

  • School workshops

  • Community events & festivals

  • Chinese New Year celebrations


Performances include traditional lion dance, drum & cymbals, blessings for good fortune, and optional cultural workshops for schools and community groups.
