Wirral martial arts in full festive mode: tradition, teamwork, and performance season

Chinese New Year is always the highlight of our year at China Spirit UK, and we’re proud to be bringing that energy from the Wirral to communities nationwide.

As we step into the Year of the Horse—often linked with confidence, stamina, and positive momentum—our centre is buzzing with that special, family-like atmosphere: drums echoing, lions being prepared, and our team putting the final polish on every detail.

What people see during the celebrations is just the “front stage” moment. In reality, there’s a whole year of training and practice behind it—countless sessions of kung fu conditioning, tai chi foundations, teamwork drills, choreography, and musical timing—so that a little over a month of performances can feel effortless, joyful, and full of life.

Our Chinese New Year season started on 31st January and will run through to 3rd March. Our calendar is already fully booked, with school workshops, restaurant blessings for good fortune, and corporate events across the UK. And while we’re out celebrating, our Wirral martial arts classes will run as usual throughout the festive period—so you can keep training, stay consistent, and be part of the journey even during the busiest season of the year.
